Seoul Yangnyeongsi Herb Medicine Museum
Established by Dongdaemun-gu as a public museum in 2006, the Seoul Yangnyeongsi Herb Medicine Museum is located in Seoul Yangnyeongsi, Korea's largest herb medicine distribution center, at a location that once housed Bojewon, a medical institute that offered free medical services to the poor at the beginning of the Joseon Dynasty. The museum features more than 420 artifacts related to traditional Korean medicine and 350 types of herbal medicine as well as plenty of ancient literature related to the medicine. Visitors can learn a great deal about the efficacy of traditional Korean herbal medicine in the museum.
