Saboksi is an organization that belonged to the Ministry of War during the Joseon Dynasty and administered horse breeding, farms around the country and kings’ palanquins. This is a map of Salgoji Farm located in Seongdong-gu area and overseen by Saboksi, estimated to be manufactured at some time between 1789 and 1802. Since the map contains detailed information on the overall circumstances of Salgoji Farm and there are not many resources of its kind having been passed down until now, it is significantly valuable to the history of horse breeding.
