Aquarium dealers used to be concentrated in the area surrounding Cheonggyecheon. Many of them, however, began to relocate to Yongdu-dong beginning in the early 1980s, eventually forming this aquarium street. More than 30 stores on this street conduct wholesale or retail of over 220 species of tropical fish and other relevant goods.
